DAMA has been providing mural arts programming at community centers and schools in Dane County since 2014. Focusing on under-served communities and alternative high schools, our team uses mural art to raise youth voices and transform public spaces.

DAMA gives students an opportunity to develop and practice the skills that will help them to succeed: patience, focus, creativity, interpersonal communication, and teamwork. More importantly, it provides a context for them to unveil inner qualities that will allow them to thrive - confidence, self-efficacy, giving back, and respect. But truly, what the DAMA process gives to artists, teachers and youth alike is the joy they experience together in discovering these gifts.
